Mate, I was on the JET program from 2004 through till 2007. They were the best years of my life. I was feeling a little nostalgic and decided to google for people currently on the program and blogging. It's great to have found your page--you seem to be enjoying the experience as much as I did. I'm still in Japan, but it's not the same as I'm in Tokyo and married with a couple of kids, not to mention a full time job. Enjoy every precious day on the program and keep blogging!

Thanks for your comment!

It’s really interesting for me to hear about where people end up after their time on JET. JET Alumni seem to be everywhere when I stop and look at the different AAJET groups, which is really exciting in a way.

While we’re hoping to stay on the program for a few more years, the thought of what comes next is already floating across our minds. I guess that’s the effect of the impermanence of the contract and the time limit of 3-5 years.

Ah well, whatever comes next, there’s certainly enough in the present to focus on!
