ANA has a new J-Cool advertising campaign which lets you vote on the ‘coolness’ of different Japanese things. Personally, I think they should have ‘squat toilets’ in there instead of ‘high tech toilets’. Guess it’s too much to ask for though. Fun to look through!

The following are some interesting blurbs from my latest second years’ test. They’re all fun and worth considering in their own ways!

(The question style was ‘Free Answer’—they listened to a question on a CD and then had a large, blank area to write their answer in. Before the test they were told to study the key expressions we used in class and were warned that they would have to answer in a complete sentence. Teachers advised them to take notes on the question and then come back to answer it. All answers are randomly arranged; answers to Question 1 and Question 2 are not from the same people no matter the order of their listing.)
